TWICE THE SUN Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement
May 30, 2002Miami, Florida's "alternative metal" act TWICE THE SUN have parted ways with drummer Tommy Garrett due to "creative differences". No replacement has yet been announced.
As previously reported, TWICE THE SUN recently inked a deal with Roadrunner Records as a joint signing between R2 Publishing head Dave Bason (the man who brought THE STROKES to RCA) and Roadrunner A&R guy Mike Gitter (i.e. ILL NINO, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, GLASSJAW). Tentative plans are for TWICE THE SUN to hit the studio with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette (i.e. INCUBUS, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS) in the early fall for an early 2003 release.
